Nuwara Eliya

Dambulla

The city of Dambulla in Sri .Located in the Matale District, Central Province, Dambulla is famous because it houses the Dambulla Cave Temple .Though tourists mostly visit the city to see these caves, there other amazing sights around the city like the Rose Quartz Mountain, Iron Wood Forest and Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium which was built in just 167 days. This 660-foot column of rock is in the middle of a thick green tropical forest and is called the ‘ Eighth Wonder of the World’.

Kandy

The picturesque town of Kandy in central Sri Lanka. The city is best known for the Temple of the Tooth . Go trekking in the Knuckles Mountain ranges,proceed the Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, experience the historical religious sites or chill at Bogambara Lake. The city is rich in arts and culture. The National Museum of Kandy, the National Railway Museum, the Dalada Maligawa Museum, the Royal Palace of Kandy, the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue are some of the important landmarks in the city. During the festival of Esala Perahera, The inner caskets of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is taken for a procession around the city on a royal elephant, followed by dancers, drummers, flag and torch bearers, all decked up in their traditional costumes.

Colombo

Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British.
